“The Patient Voice” AGM

14th November 2018

This note is made purely with the intention of recording my attendance along with Vernon Trafford our Chair of PPAG.

The meeting itself was well attended — interested persons together with members of staff and volunteers involved with the group. We heard some interesting talks. As is common with many of these meeting some of the speakers rambled on a bit but perhaps I am the worst person to say this. Pot, Kettle, Black …

My overall impression was that although the Patient Voice had apparently been going for some time they are only just beginning to be more active in trying to recruit new patients. They had very good information packs for those of us who hadn’t attended meetings before and they seem to have a selection of good volunteer opportunities for those that are interested.

I believe that they deserve support and encouragement so I will attend their next meeting to see how things are going
